Sauna have been a traditional part of many cultures for centuries - from Turkish baths and Native American sweat lodges to Russian banyas. Benefits of sauna include stress reduction, improved sleep, excretion of toxins, recovery from sore muscles, etc.

Red Light therapy

Our in-sauna red light therapy is not only relaxing, but additionally stimulates your skin, muscles, and bones on a cellular level. Benefits include anti-aging effects, higher bone and muscle density, strengthen and protects immune system, improves metabolism, and supports your body’s many other biological processes.

Cold plunge

Filled with triple filtered rainwater that is captured and filtered onsite, our cold plunge is a perfect contrasting complement to your sauna session. You won’t just cool off, but will enjoy improved sleep, metal focus, reduced inflammation, and muscle repair.

  • What can I expect from my experience at The Wellness Deck?

    Connection with nature and wellness therapies in a rustic setting. This is not a Spa, but it is a special spot to unwind and take in the Texas Hill Country. To guarantee your safety and enhance your experience, all first-time guests will participate in a short safety orientation. In this introductory session, we'll discuss your previous sauna / cold plunge experiences among other topics. This dialogue enables make recommendations for your session, aligning it with your individual needs and preferences, and ensuring a tranquil and rejuvenating experience from beginning to end.

  • How many guests are in each session?

    Each appointment is private and can accommodate 2 - 6 guests. For your safety, we do not accept single reservations. Aside from a short introduction from your hosts (Nora and/or Chris) to the amenities, you and your group will be on your own.

  • What should guests bring?

    Swim suit, water shoes, drink for keeping yourself hydrated

  • What is provided to guests?

    Water, 3 towels per guest (2 for sauna use, 1 for drying off), parking, rustic bathroom / changing room

  • Is sauna safe for everyone?

    If you are pregnant, have heart diseases or other serious health conditions, please check with your doctor before using the sauna. We all have different levels of tolerance, listen to your body and do not stay longer than 20 minutes at a time.

  • Is cold plunge for everyone?

    You should avoid cold plunges if you have any of the following conditions: Heart disease, High blood pressure, Diabetes, Peripheral neuropathy, and Poor blood circulation.

  • Is red light therapy for everyone?

    Do not use if pregnant, epileptic, have malignant cancers, a pacemaker, recent burns, eye or skin diseases, light sensitivity, or hyperthyroidism. 

  • Does my phone get service?

    Not likely, service is very sparse in our part of The Texas Hill Country. Please be sure to download a map before you head out here.

  • Is Wi-fi available?

    Not at this time.
